Carlos Armando Romero

Carlos Armando Romero, 66, of Port Arthur passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

He was born in La Union, El Salvador on January 6, 1954 to his parents, Carlos Ramirez Romero and Maria Anicleta Guzman Romero. He worked as a painter for several body shops in the area with 37 years of service including Guidry's and Tony’s Auto and Body. Carlos was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Port Arthur.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his four sons, Carlos Romero, Daniel Romero and Roberto Romero of Port Arthur, Texas, Frederick Romero of El Salvador, his four daughters, Maryori Romero, Carolina Romero, Sonia Romero and Yamileta Romero all from El Salvador along with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Deysi Moreno of Port Arthur and Reyna Romero of Guatemala, his two brothers, Cesar Romero Guzman of Georgia and Moises Romero of Guatemala.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Carlos’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors are required to wear face mask or coverings and practice social distancing as mandated by the state and county officials.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want

he makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.

He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
