Calvin James Landry, 64, of Bridge City passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
He was born on November 23, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas to Herbert Landry and Velma Landry. Calvin graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1976. He was a longtime resident of Port Arthur area before moving to Bridge City over 30 years ago. Calvin worked at Chevron before joining BASF as an operator and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Bridge City. Calvin enjoyed playing golf and riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. He was a mentor for Narcotics Anonymous.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Hardin and his nephew, Gabriel Landry.
Calvin is survived by his loving wife, Christina Ledet Landry of Bridge City; his son, Dalton Landry and wife Shala of Bridge City: his three daughters, Carla Tyson and husband Bryce of Groves, Valerie Landry of Beaumont, Dana Roberts and husband Joey of Bridge City; nine grandchildren, Ciara Rivera, Caylee Roberts, D. J. Landry, Taryn Roberts, Ian Roberts, Kamryn Landry, Brynna Tyson, Brooklyn Landry, Bubba Tyson along with four great grandchildren, Baylor Rivera, Beckham Rivera, Luca Roberts and Banks Rivera.
He is also survived by his parents, Herbert and Velma Landry of Kaplan, LA.; his three sisters, Nancy Ripoll and husband Mike of Pearl River, LA., Laure Richert of Kaplan, LA., Judy Doyle and husband Bryan of Starks, LA.; his two brothers, Danny Landry and wife Mona of Vinton, LA., Wayne Landry of Kaplan, LA. along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Immaculate Conception/St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
