Betty Jane Chardin

November 17, 1955 — February 1, 2023

Betty Jane Chardin of Groves, Texas passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023, at the age of 67 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas surrounded by her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph “Buck” Chardin and Mary Chardin-Cryer, her brothers, Larry Chardin, Ricky Chardin, Rene Chardin, Timothy Chardin, Sheldon Chardin and niece Alicia Mills.  She is survived by her daughter Misty Croshaw and grandson Jared of Groves, Texas, her sisters Dianne Osborne and husband Robert of Port Neches, Texas, Judy Ables and husband Joe of Austin, Texas, Mary Osborne and husband Roger of Warren, Texas, and brother David Chardin of Bastrop, Texas.  She is further survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored wholeheartedly and treated like her own.

Betty was born on November 17, 1955, in Port Arthur, Texas.  Betty spent most of her career as a top-notch car sales associate.  One of her main hobbies in life was gardening and fishing. However, cooking and hosting gatherings was one of her most favorite things to do, having family & friends together was very important to her and made her heart happy. Betty had a heart as big as the sky and a personality that automatically drew people to her, she never met a stranger.  She was adored and loved by everyone she met and who thought the world of her.  She was legendary in our sight with no other like her and one of a kind.  We are going to miss that beautiful smile that would light up a room, but we find comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior and her spirit will now live on in our hearts as the strong and beautiful woman we love.

Psalms 73:26… “My flesh and my heart may fail: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.”

A gathering of family and friends to “Celebrate the Life” of Betty Jane Chardin and to honor her Memory are pending.
