Betty Nell Becker

Betty Nell Hall Becker, 93, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at The Arboretum in Winnie.

She was born on April 28, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents, William Richard Hall and Raiford Hardy Hall. Betty was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur prior to moving to the Arboretum. She retired as a receptionist with Texas State Optical after 30 years of service.  Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Helen Lumbley, Francis Middleton, Margaret Vucinovich, Barbara Garner; her brothers, Julian “Shu” Hall, Charles Hall, James Hall, Robert “Bob” Hall, William “Bill” Hall, Louis “Tony” Hall, Harry Hall, Donald Hall, Jerry Hall, Milton C. Hall and Everett “Cowboy” Hall; her husband, Howard Leroy Becker.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Linda Becker Holmes and her husband, Charles of Cypress; her son, Richard “Rickey” Becker and his wife, Roxanne of Winnie; her four grandchildren, Troy Knight, Shawn Becker, Phillip Becker and Alexis Walters; her eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Easton, Reagan, Sydney, Brooke, Jackson, Garrison and Audrey along with two great-great grandchildren, Kinsley and Ian. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for the family and friends will be from 12 Noon till 2:00 PM , December 19, 2020 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Service to honor Betty’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Clayton Thompson with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors are required to wear a face mask or face covering and practice social distancing as mandated by state and county officials.
