Bernice Emelda Mingle

Bernice “Putt” Ella Mingle, 90, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her home.

Putt was born on February 11, 1930 in Port Neches, Texas to parents Lou Ella (Belaire) and Clyde Spell. She was a lifelong resident of Groves. She enjoyed working in her garden and quilting. Putt was a loving person who will be dearly missed by all.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Charles “Chummy” Mingle, her sisters, Lee Ida Nunez, Hazel Palermo and Maurine Patin.

Those left to cherish Bernice Mingle memory are her sons, Craig Mingle of Port Neches, TX, Brain Mingle and his wife, Connie of La Vernia, TX, her daughters, Holly Trahan and her husband, Ronnie of Bridge City, TX, Kelly Mingle and her husband, Jon of Gold River, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tina LeBlanc and husband, Brian, Eric LeBlanc and wife, Twyla, Jesse Mingle, Charles Mingle, Ryan Mingle, Meagan Mingle, her great grandchildren, Nathan LeBlanc, Zoey Mingle. Putt will be greatly missed by her lifelong friends, Melba Duplantis and Shirley Viola, they did everything together.

In lieu of flowers, Bernice Mingle wishes are for you to spend quality time with family and friends, taking them to lunch. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, Texas.
