Bea (as she was: lovingly called) passed away peacefully April 8, 2022 at 104 years young & is now in the arms of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Ps 118:24. Daughter, wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother World War II veteran (Ltjg, USN), civic & community leader, teacher MS,ed, Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR), member of the Highland Baptist Church, Waco.
. Born June 24, 1917 Oklahoma City, OK. Raised by her parents Carl & Beatrice Kimsey in Nashville, TN. Education: Ward Belmont, BS Vanderbilt Univ.
Met and married Bruce A Davis 1942 in Nashville, Bruce was a graduate of Texas A & M, Bruce had a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and was an officer in the Army Air Corp, Maj, USA. After the war they made their home in Pt Arthur, TX. . After hurricane Rita in 2005 she retired with Bruce to Waco, TX. They lived with their eldest daughter Belinda Pillow & husband Lovell Pillow in Waco. She remained in Waco from 2005 until her death in 2022 meeting & Loving many people in the Waco community. She was physically active till 100 and mentally alert until she passed.
She is survived by her middle daughter B. Annette Orynawka Kunkle, husband G. L Kunkle, her youngest daughter Beverly Steckler & husband Peter Steckler, granddaughter Laura Boyd Kantor & husband Bob Kantor, granddaughter Denise Norris & husband David Norris, granddaughter Elizabeth Marshall, grandson Davis Steckler. Great granddaughter Haley Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl & Beatrice Kimsey, Husband Bruce Davis, Daughter Belinda Pillow and son in law John Orynawka.
