Today, November 9, 2021 after a very long battle with COPD, April Lynne Redwine drew in her first breath of God’s Glory as she passed thru the gates of Heaven into the waiting arms of her family and friends who have passed before her. Please rest in the knowledge that she is now and forever more restored and at peace with the Lord.
She was born on April 25, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents, Royce Redwine and Maryanne Pennington Redwine. April lived in the Southeast Texas area for most of her life, her adventurous spirit took her many places. She enjoyed working amongst people as she did so first as a hairdresser, then as a marketer for a local radio station and finally as a hospice RN offering care and compassion to the terminally ill. There she found her true calling. April was surrounded by her hospice family during her own passing. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1975 and earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Lamar University. April worked as an RN with several Hospice organizations during her 16 years career, she truly loved her work.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Join me in praying for peace and comfort for Derrick her son and Tara her granddaughter as they transition into this next phase of their journey. She leaves behind her son, Roger Derrick Brewster and his fiancée, Jessica Dalton of Port Neches; her granddaughter, Tara Hope Brewster; her brother, Royce P. Redwine of Palm Springs, California and her niece, Felisha Davis. Accept my condolence for all of you who will feel the pain of her absence.
There will be a Celebration of April’s life at the Port Neches Riverfront Park Pavilion on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. God speed my beautiful friend!
