Angelina Frances Landry, 88, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.
Angelina was born on January 14, 1933 in Port Arthur, Texas to Katherine (Pampolina) and Jesus C. Aranda. She graduated from Bishop Bryne High School and Port Arthur Business College. In 1955 she married her love of her life, Carroll Landry and they had one daughter, Janet Landry. Angelina volunteered at St. Patrick School Library while they living in Tampa, FL and then they moved to Baton Rouge, she worked at State National Life Insurance as a insurance agent. After retirement, she volunteered at St. George Catholic Church/School and at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Angelina was a loving person who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carroll Landry and her daughter, Janet Landry, her two brothers and their wives.
Angelina is survived by her sister, Ofelia Lee and her husband, Charles, her sister in law, Patsy Fontenot, brother in law, Thomas Landry and his wife, Carolyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur. A rosary will be prayed at 2:00 PM at the church. Entombment will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. George Cemetery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
