Joseph Dave Prejean Joseph Dave Prejean, 78, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Home Away from Home in Port Arthur. He was born in Maurice, Louisiana on August 27, 1930 to Maria Edia and Nicholas Prejean. He lived in Port Arthur for over 58 years. Joseph served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a Supervisor of Track Inspectors after 40 years of service. He was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 15, 2009 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his son Wendell and his wife Gayle Prejean of Austin, Texas, two step-daughters Debbie Cappadona of Deweyville, Texas and Jeannie Jouellette of Jackson, Mississippi, three step grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elgin and her husband Edgar Broussard of Maurice, Louisiana, his three brothers Clarence and his wife Angeline Prejean of Lafayette, Louisiana, Frank and his wife Gloria Prejean of Lafayette, Louisiana, Allen and his wife Nannette Prejean of Broussard, Louisiana as well as several nieces and nephews.
