Harold James Guidry, age 60 of Crystal Beach, Texas was killed in a vehicle accident on IH 10 on January 19, 2009. Harold was a resident of Groves for 32 years and lived in Crystal Beach for the past 6 years. He was very active in the community and enjoyed helping family and friends. He was a proud grandfather. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it. He was an inspiration to many. Harold was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus, a Director of Gulf Employees Credit Union, Director at the Caplan Speech and Therapy Center, Director of United Way, OCAW local 423 (Workman Committee), Crystal Beach Waterboard director and Eucharistic Minister at Our Mother of Mercy at Port Bolivar and St. Therese of Lesieux at Crystal Beach. Harold enjoyed bowling and working with stained glass. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Anna Belle Guidry, Sr., Brothers, Adam Guidry, Jr. and Thad Mitchell Guidry. Harold is survived by his wife, Christina Guidry of Crystal Beach, Son, Richard James and wife Cassandra Guidry of Austin, daughter, Tristina and husband Eli Hanslik of Austin, brother, Tony and his wife Arlette Guidry of Bridge City, sisters, Rose Guidry of Crowley, La. Debra Suire of Rayne, La., Cindy Snider of Decatur, Al., Penny Guidry of Port Arthur and Christine Bryant of Bolivar, sister-in-law, Charmaine Guidry of Denver, CO., grandson, Cooper Cole Hanslik of Austin.
