William "Bill" Thomas Massey, 73, of Village Mills, Texas passed away Tuesday January 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1935 to Della and Bivian Massey in Kilgore, Texas. He graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1953. Bill was an accomplished businessman, having owned and operated two successful businesses with his partner Jimmy Jones, Port Arthur Electrical and J & M Industrial Supply. He was a vital member of his community. He has been a resident of the Village Mills area for 30 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wildwood. He was a lifetime member of the Port Arthur Evening Sertoma Club, where he served as a past president. Serving as pallbearers will be Donny Tice, Will McCall, Shawn McCoy, Aaron McCoy, Steve Jackson and David McCoy. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday February 2, 2009 at Wildwood United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Della and her husband Mike Maltese and his son William Thomas Massey, Jr. He is survived by his daughters Della Gay McCoy and her husband David of Groves, Texas, Cindy Tice and her husband Donny of Nederland, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shawn and Aaron McCoy, Sarah and Melissa Hale and Christen Massey. He also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren.
