Mario Romero, D.D.S.

December 18, 1918 - February 4, 2009

Dr. Mario Romero, 90 of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Antonio, TX on December 18, 1918 to Phillip and Refugio Romero. Mario was a resident of Port Arthur for over 60 years. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Mario retired as a Dental surgeon after 45 years of practice. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Dr. Romero is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Maircruz Romero of Port Arthur, TX., his daughter, Barbara Gill of Vidor, TX, sons, Anthony Romero of Houston, TX., Fred Romero of Seguin, TX., Dr. Phillip Romero and David Romero, both of New York City, NY., 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, brother Mike Romero of Edinburg, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the J.C. Garcia Scholarship or the United Board of Missions.
