James Frank Williams James Frank Williams, 70, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born February 7, 1939 in LeCompt, Louisiana to Opal Matthews Williams and James Allen Williams. James was raised in Port Neches and lived all of his life in the area. He played football for Port Neches-Groves and was a member of the team that went to the playoffs in 1954 and won the State title in 1955. He was an avid PNG fan and would bleed purple. He was a member of the graduating class of 1957, who had the saying "We are angels sent from Heaven Senior Class of '57." James served in the U. S. Army. He retired from Huntsman as a pipefitter after 33 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons Jamie M. Williams and Clay Epps and his brother-in-law James Martin. He is survived by his loving wife Irene Williams of Port Arthur, Texas, his daughters Teri Gilcrease and her husband Ronald of Orange, Texas, Cindy Ryland and her husband Nicholas of Nederland, Texas, Jeniece Epps of Port Arthur, Texas, his son Chad Williams and his wife Alanna of Fairfax, Virginia, Gary Epps and his wife Belinda of Port Arthur, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brandie Broussard, Leslie Dickey, Lindsey Dickey, Ashley Epps, Emily Rose, Hannah Supernor and Jason Gilcrease along with great grandchildren Jewelia Gilcrease and Brittney Gilcrease and expecting soon Baby Grace. His sister Melba Martin of Port Neches, Texas and his brother Edward Gray and his wife Coy of Reno, Nevada, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
