Don Fought, 78, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.He was born May 13, 1930 to Russell and Jewel Fought in Hunington, West Virginia. He had been a resident of this area for over 35 years.Don was a vice-president at the 1st National bank of Port Arthur and later was president and CEO of The New Iberia Bank.Don proudly served our country as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1960.Don was a member of The Presbyterian Church of the Convenant. Don was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Elouise Turner. Don is survived by his wife Audrey of Port Arthur, Son Bryan and his wife Kelly of Sacramento, Ca. daughters Alison Fought of Friendswood, Susan and husband Joe Scarborough of Pasadena, Tx. step-sons Edmund and wife Cheryl Hernandez of Port Neches, Daniel and wife Trisha Hernandez of Groves, Reagan and wife Kim Hernandez of Lumberton. Step-daughter Stacy and husband Kevin Menard of Buna. 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Don had a great love for his family his country and was always ready to help those in need. Our special thanks go to the staff of the ICU unit at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital Beaumont for the excellent care that was rendered to Don.
