Kristien Nicole Artola

Kristien Nicole Artola, 18, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at The Methodist Hospital in Houston. She was born June 29, 1990 to Tonya Patterson Artola and Freddy Artola, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and graduated from Memorial High School in 2008. Kristien was a member of the Memorial High School Power lifting Team for 3 years under the direction of Coach Jule Joffrin. She is survived by her parents Tonya and Freddy Artola, Sr. of Port Arthur, her daughter and her son Breeann and Bryan Saunders of Port Arthur, her sisters Ligia Guzman of Beaumont, Kyri Artola of Port Arthur, her brothers Freddy Artola, Jr., Allan Artola and Rafael Artola all of Port Arthur, her grandmother Edna Schuster of Amarillo, Texas along with 20 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her aunts Lissette Perez of Port Arthur, E'Linda Dawson of Japan, her uncles Ramon Artola of Port Arthur, Steve Whatley of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Dennis McQuinn of Oklahoma, Danny McQuinn of Irving, her cousins Marjorie Bell, Marielos Du Blon, Ramon Artola, Jr. all of Port Arthur, Lillian Morales of Orange, her godparents Mary and Gordon Patterson of LaMarque, Texas.
