Joe Vick Dougan, 66, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 27, 1942 to Callie Florine Williams Dougan and Vick Irvine Dougan in Hope Arkansas. He has been a resident of Port Arthur area for over 30 years. Joe retired from Mobil Oil as a Truck Driver after 28 years of service. After retirement from Mobil, he went to work for Service Transport in Nederland as a Truck Driver for 7 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Port Acres. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Clayton Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Fran Pelton Dougan of Port Arthur, daughters Lisa Ruth Posey and husband Mark of Junction City, Arkansas, Mykal Raechelle Dougan and companion Justin Hawkins of Groves, sons Kenneth Joe Dougan, Terry Don Dougan and wife Samantha, Otis Wayne Dougan and fiance' Keisha, Jerry Lynn Dougan and wife Mary all of Junction City, Arkansas, Justin Pelton and wife Jennifer of Port Arthur, grandchildren Antionette Avery, Christopher Dougan, Joseph Dougan, Andy Dougan, Callie Dougan, Terry Raymond Dougan, Courtney Wallace, Lillian Dougan, Jake Patrick Dougan, Tristen Dougan, Nicholas Dougan, Jordan Posey, Jarrett Williams, Austin Pelton and Abygale Pelton, one great granddaughter Savannah Jewel Hurst. He is also survived by his sisters Virginia England and husband Dean of Hope, Arkansas, Linda Lear and husband Melvin of Rodessa, Louisiana, brother Billy Don Dougan and wife Frances of Hope, Arkansas along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Professional Health Care Hospice for their excellent care given to Joe. In lieu of Flowers, family request donations to be made to Professional Health Care Hospice in memory of Joe.
