She was born on June 17,1923 in West Orange, Texas to Joseph and Edna Gravett Martin. Nelda Jean had been a resident of Houston for the past 9 years. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Groves. She is survived by her sons, Wayne and wife Jean Ann LaGrappe of Sulphur, La., Bryan and his wife Jewell LaGrappe of Dickinson, Texas, Sister Andrea and her husband Barney Phillips of Sugarland, Texas, sister, Maxine and her husband Olee Bakke of Clifton, Texas. 3 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
