Viola Warlick Hayes Hebert passed away in Houston on Saturday, November 14, 2009. She was born on September 27, 1922, to Gaylon and Cornelia Warlick in Egypt, Texas, but spent most of her life in Port Arthur. She loved the Lord, her family and her friends. Her sweet smile, twinkling blue eyes, gentle spirit and loving heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met; and she will be missed by all. For most of her life, Viola was a member of the Baptist faith, attending Trinity Baptist in Port Arthur; she also attended Holy Cross Lutheran in Nederland for several years. She worked for Oil Industry Supply in Port Arthur for 18 years and then as a lecturer for Weight Watchers for many years. Viola was preceded in death by her husbands Lydell Hayes and Ray Hebert, daughter Lydia Jane Hayes, sisters-in-law Elaine Warlick, Betty Wilson and Fay Dauphine and brother-in-law Glenn Wilson. She is survived by her son Jere' Hebert and his wife Joyce of Orange, her daughters Cherlyn Hebert of Houston and Nancy Schmidt of Beaumont, her brother Wesley Warlick of Henderson and grandchildren Jennifer Schmidt and James Hebert. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Autumn Grove Cottage-Copperbrook for the loving care and attention they gave Viola the last year of her life.
