Irene Granger

Irene Bodin Menard Granger, 83, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves. She was born March 31, 1926 to Dulcide Menard Bodin and Sidney Bodin in Biloxi, Mississippi. She has been a resident of the Groves area since 1965. Irene was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Shirley Bodin and Hazel Dugas, her brothers Harris, Harold and Lloyd Bodin and her husband Lovelace Menard. She is survived by her husband John Granger of Groves, her daughters Connie Richerson and husband Dudley of Groves, Mona Menard of New Iberia, La., two step-daughters Portia Ward and husband Rodney of Vidor, Brenda Pastorick and husband Monty of Sarasota, Florida along with her grandson Shane Richerson and four step-grandchildren Jon Ward, Chad Ward, Denise Branton and Dirk Pastorick. She is also survived by her sisters Jean Duhon and husband Jimmy of Kaplan, La., Vernola Guilbeau and husband Paul of Lafayette, La., her sister-in-law Zoe Bodin of Port Arthur, her brothers Curtis Bodin of New Iberia, La. and Nolan Bodin and wife Phyllis of Covington, La. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
