Lorraine Small Robinson, 93, formerly of Pt. Arthur, passed away February 17, 2010 at Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lumberton. Lorraine was born on December 23, 1916 in Sabine Pass and lived in Port Arthur for most of her life. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Port Arthur Business College. She was an executive secretary for Texaco Research where she worked for over twenty years before her retirement in 1981. Lorraine was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Port Arthur where she volunteered in the church library. She loved to play bridge, visit her grandchildren, travel with her friends and will be remembered for her wonderful, infectious laugh and her generosity of spirit. Lorraine was the loving wife of Carroll Edwin Robinson, who passed away in 1962. She is survived by her son, Paul Robinson, and his wife, Ruthie, of Beaumont, her daughter, Sharon Zorbach, and her husband, Greg, of San Jose, California, grandchildren, Anne Zimmer and Katie Bennett, three great-grandchildren and two step-grandsons.
