Howard Kern, age 50 of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at a local hospital. Howard had lived in the Golden Triangle for all of his life. He was a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and was an avid follower of PNG football. Howard was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Groves. Howard was a published poet, who wrote Inspirational Passion of Life that was published in 2010. Howard is survived by his parents, Larry and Laura Kern of Groves, son, Kristopher Kern of Beaumont, sisters, Karen and her husband Ronnie Wilson of Buna and Kathy Nelson of Lumberton., his companion Barbie Walker of Beaumont, along with numerous nieces and great nieces and nephews.
