John Paul "Johnny" Landry, Sr., 65, of Beaumont, Texas passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday April 29, 2010. He was born February 18, 1945 to Edith Hebert Landry and Dallbess Landry, Sr. in Port Arthur. Johnny graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1963. He was a retired commercial fisherman. Johnny was raised in Port Arthur and lived in Fannett for over 10 years, Port Isabel for 2 years before settling in Beaumont in 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Terese "Terry" Landry and his brother, Robert Landry. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda "Candy" Murray Landry of Beaumont, his daughters, Cindy Fontenot and husband Larry of Port Neches, Melissa Vaughan and husband Jason of Groves, Laynie DeSerrano and husband Scott of Nederland, Amy Landry and Jonathan Anderson of Boulder, Colorado, his sons, Paul Landry of Nederland, Ricky Landry and wife Tammy of Fannett and his stepson, Chas Prestil of Crosby, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mason, Dillon and Dustin Landry, Ryan and Sage Seay, Preston DeSerrano, Fallan Fontenot, Jacie and Jacob Vaughan, Macey Rakestraw, Chandler Landry and Christian Prestil. He is also survived by his sister, Gerry Huckabay and husband Lawrence of Bridge City, and two brothers, Dallbess Landry, Jr. and wife Johnnie Marie of Port Arthur and Joe Landry of Albuquerque, New Mexico as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions to be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas in Beaumont in memory of Johnny.
