Johhny Joe Elizondo

Johnny Joe Elizondo, 85, of Port Arthur passed away at Christus St. Mary Hospital on Monday, June 21, 2010. He was born May 27, 1925 to Delores Martinez Elizondo and Toribio Elizondo in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. He has lived in Port Arthur for most of his life. Johnny served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked as a mechanic during his early years and retired from Chevron as a process operator after 15 years of service. Johnny was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Cynthia Elizondo, his son-in-law, Robert Cooper. He is survived by his loving wife, Eppie Moreno Elizondo of Port Arthur, TX., his daughters, Irene Cooper of Nederland, TX., Gloria Elizondo of Austin, TX., Mary Helen Elizondo of Groves, TX., Cathy Hammond and husband Tim of Mont Belvieu, TX., his sons, Tom Elizondo and wife Darlene of Port Arthur, TX., Steve Elizondo and wife Jayme of Raleigh, NC., along with his thirteen grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Kyle, Alyssa,Derek, Shaun, Angela, Matthew, Jake, Brett, Lacey, Bailey and Marley
