Charles King Rucker, Jr., 85, of Groves passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. He was born November 4, 1924 to Viola Turnbull Rucker and Charles K. Rucker, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1943. Charles served in the United States Air Force during WWII. He retired from Carpenters Local #502 as a carpenter after 65 years of service, he worked on many different jobs with the local, especially the Bella Company for 20 years. Charles was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Larry Rucker. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Mae Rucker of Groves, his sons, Tommy Rucker and wife Angela of Nederland, Jerry Rucker and companion Lee of Port Neches, Grady Rucker and wife Marla of Groves. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Megan Rucker, Scott Hughes, Mallorie Rucker,Abbie Rucker and Charlie K. Rucker, III, Rusty Campbell and his sister, Muriel Havens of Port Arthur along with several nieces and nephews.
