Levy Hartman

Born July 9, 1927 to Oliver J. Hartman, Sr. and Louise Trahan Hartman in Kaplan, LA. Levy was married to Geneva Berniece Vincent of Pecan Island, LA for more than 30 yrs. To this marriage came a daughter, Debra Lynn, and a son, Duane Levi (Butch). The family made their home in Groves, TX. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Jeremy Houk officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Levy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geneva, four brothers: Howard Hartman (LA), OJ, Hartman, JR., Hubert Hartman, and Jerome Hartman all of the Bridge City area, three sisters, Rena Duhon of Lafayette, LA, Miriam Gambrel of Mobile, AL, and Lillian Colton of Bridge City, and two grandsons Chris and Lynn Petree. Survivors are Debra Lynn Hartman Petree, and husband Ray of Beaumont, TX, son Duane Levi (Butch), and wife Debby of Evergreen, Co., grandsons Derek Petree and Jaime Petree of Beaumont, TX, Hunter Hartman of Denver, CO, and granddaughter Shanae Dix and husband Brandon of Denver, Co. Levy also leaves behind two very special nephews, Len and Charles Hartman of Bridge City, and a special sister-in-law Pauline Hartman of Bridge City, TX.
