Elton Lee "Curley" Hubert 87 of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves, Texas. Curley was born on May 26, 1923 at the Hubert homestead in Polk County, Texas to his parents, James W. Hubert and Columbia Sterling Hubert. He was a resident of Port Arthur, Texas for over 51 years. Curley was employed at Texaco, Inc. for 34 years as a pipefitter. He served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during W.W. II. Curley was a member of the Port Arthur First Assembly of God Church since 1951. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 39th street in Groves. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas, with burial to follow at the Hubert Cemetery near the Midway Community in Polk County, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Imogene Hubert of Port Arthur, Son, Jimmy and his wife Sharon Hubert of Groves, daughter, Brenda and her husband Leonard Palumbo of Port Arthur, four grandchildren, Monica Proenza, Aaron Hubert, Christopher O'Quinn, and Eric Scott O'Quinn, six great-grandchildren, Madalyn Mihalik, Hunter Hubert, Jake Mihalik, Elizabeth O'Quinn, Mia Hubert and Lane Proenza, four sisters, Maurice Pace of Livingston, TX., Merl Wells of Allen, TX., Norma Lou Howard of Dallas, TX, and Jo Ann Munselle of Richardson, TX.
