Faye Perry, 80, of Port Neches passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on December 29, 1929 to John and Edith McElduff in Vienna, Louisiana. She met and married the love of her life Paul Perry, while they both worked at Texaco. That began an adventure in a marriage that spanned 63 years, during which the last 20 years Paul faithfully took care of his beloved Faye. They lived in Port Arthur until 1981 and then moved to Port Neches. Faye was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur and previously was the church secretary for North End Baptist Church of Port Arthur. She was a member of the WMU of the Baptist Church and the American Business Women's Organization. Faye also sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Faye demonstrated such strength of character in every part of her life, and instilled her strong faith in her children, who have passed that legacy on to their own children. She was also an avid card player...Old Maid. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dwight Perry, her brother, Everett McElduff, brother-in-law Melton Frasier, sister Ruby Frasier and brother-in-law W.L. Frasier. She is survived by her husband, Paul Perry of Port Neches, daughters: Debbie and husband Eddie Newman of Alabaster, AL, and Diane and husband George Rienstra of Beaumont. Also, her brother Gene and his wife Darnella McElduff of Port Arthur, sisters: Vivian Frasier of Shreveport, LA, and Grace and husband Kenneth Elliott of Lindale. Grandchildren: Shasta Jurovic of Bayou Vista, Michael and wife Erin Rienstra of Pearland, Katie Newman of Alabaster, AL, Ann Rienstra of The Woodlands and Adam Newman of Alabaster, AL. Great grandchildren: Aimee Jurovic and Christofer Jurovic both of Katy, and Major Rienstra of Pearland. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Edith Hardin, who patiently and lovingly helped Paul care for her during these last few years, as well as the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice.
