Robert J. "Bob" Kaltenbach, 85 of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his residence with his loving wife Mary at his side. He was born on April 10, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Clarence and Isabel Brown Kaltenbach. Bob was a resident of Port Arthur since 1956. He was a merchant marine and retired from the National Maritime Service. Bob retired from the Port Arthur Fire Department after 24 years of service. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Kaltenbach and his son Danny Kaltenbach, his brother James Kaltenbach and his sister, Leona Borger. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, and his dog Pixie. Bob is also survived by his sister Marion Rorek and husband Don of Racine, Wisconsin, brother, William "Bill" Kaltenbach of Groves and favorite nephew Craig Rorek as well as other nieces and nephews in Racine, Wisconsin, special friends Butch, Maggie and Erwin LaBove, Sam and Bootsie Lanier. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with a Rosary to be prayed at 8 P.M. A Fireman's Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. in the Clayton Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or Odyssey Health Care.
