William Kenneth Cozad, Jr. was 87 years old, born February 6, 1924 in Reno, Pennsylvania to Grace Eakin Cozad and W. K. Cozad, Sr. He passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at his home. Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Melva Couchman Cozad of Port Neches, Texas, son, Bruce Cozad of Traverse City, Michigan and step-daughter, Linda Reeves of Port Neches, Texas, He is also survived by six grandchildren, Eric Reeves and wife Hayley, Carrie Leo and husband Edward, Daniel Buford, Thomas Buford and wife Stacey, Robert Cozad, Veronica Cozad and four great grandchildren, Ethan Leo, Hudson Leo, Brandon Reeves and Ashlyn Leo with another great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his sisters, Leona Howard of Groves, Texas, Grace Brent of Nederland, Texas, Patricia Cousins and husband Vic of Danville, Virginia, his brother, James Cozad and wife Irma of Port Arthur, Texas, sisters-in-law, Marjorie Cozad of Orange, Texas and Shirley Cozad of Groves, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Buford of Shawnee, Oklahoma, brothers, Mark Cozad and Fred Cozad. Bill served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He then attended Lamar Tech and Baylor University. After college, he worked at Texaco in Port Arthur for 42 years before retiring as a supervisor of the Cashier's Department (Accounting). Bill was an avid tool collector and when the neighbors needed a certain tool they knew where to go to borrow it. Bill made a lot of friends during his life and always remembered them wherever he was. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Port Neches. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Buford, Daniel Buford, Eric Reeves, Edward Leo, Michael Brent and Fred Cozad.
