Christine Bray

Christine Davis Bray passed away peacefully on September 3, 2011, in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 104 years. She was born January 22, 1907 in McLaurin, Mississippi, and graduated from The College of Industrial Arts, now Texas Womens University in Denton, Texas in 1929. Christine married Elliott O. Bray in 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas, where she was teaching first grade. Together they had three sons: Elliott, Clarence and Christopher. Besides keeping her family as a top priority, she and her husband where active members of the United Methodist Temple. Following her husbands death in 1976, Christine continued to live in Port Arthur until 1993 when she moved to Boise, Idaho to live with her son Christopher and his family. She was an encouragement to many with her gentle and loving spirit.
