Ralph Kenneth Eliasson

March 28, 1922 - May 8, 2012

Ralph Kenneth Eliasson, age 90, passed away on May 8, 2012. He was born on March 28, 1922 in Port Arthur, Texas where he was a life- long resident. After working briefly at Gulf Oil he joined the US Navy during WWII manning a mine sweeper in the Gulf of Mexico. After the war he resumed working at the Gulf Oil Refinery in Port Arthur where he retired after 35 years of service. He married Grace Quick Robertson in 1949. Ralph (Ken) was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur where he served the church in many ways and was a faithful member of the Wesley Sunday School Class. Mr. Eliasson was preceded in death by Grace, his wife of 47 years and Marlene Perry his step-daughter. He is survived by his step-son Sawnie Robertson, four grandchildren, Beverly Duncan, James Perry, Kathy Moore and Patty Little along with several great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to The United Methodist Temple, 4101 Highway 73, Port Arthur, TX 77642.
