Bernard William Kutz

Bernard William Kutz, 98, of Beaumont, Texas passed away at the Lucas House in Beaumont on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born on April 9, 1914 to Stella and Albert Kutz in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Bernie was a merchant marine for most of his life and retired from the sea in Port Arthur. He was a resident at the O.W. Collins Apartments in Port Arthur, before moving to the Hotel Beaumont and eventually the Lucas House. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Inurnment will be at Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. He is survived by his caregivers, Bob and Glenda Griffin of Beaumont, Texas along with friends from the Lucas House.
