Anna Bell Wiltz Urwin, 95 of Beaumont, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Summer Place Nursing & Rehabilitation in Beaumont. Mrs. Urwin was born February 20,1917 in St. Martinsville, Louisiana, to the Late Theresa & Belizaire Wiltz. Ann Bell married C.D. Halfin in 1935 and they had on Son. Mr. Halfin died in 1977. In 1979 she married John Thomas Urwin and they lived happily together for 20 years. Mr. Urwin died in 1999. Mrs. Urwin worked for Norvell Wilder for 20 years and retired in 1979. Upon her retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers: George, Joseph, Lawrence & E.J. Wiltz, and her sisters: Irene Nunez, Hazel Forrest, Nella Beadle, Ruth Naumczik and Lou Wanna Fontenot. Survivors include her son, Darwin Halfin of Beaumont, Texas, her brother Harry Lee (Bill) Wiltz and his wife Johnnie Marie of Nederland, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna Bell loved to play bridge and she played with a group of ladies she love to be with once and week for their bridge and story telling and Anna Bells dreams. She always said if you can't enjoy having fun playing bridge then why play. When she had to stop because of her health she would sometimes cry, saying, I miss playing bridge, but most of all I miss my friends I played with. Visitation will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, Groves, Texas on Tuesday, July17,2012, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. followed by her Funeral Service at 6:00 P.M., Internment will be on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas. The family would like to thank the Staff, Nurses and Aides of Jefferson Nursing & Rehabilitation, Summer Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Harbor Hospice for the kind, gentle and loving care they gave Anna Bell, and special friends she made, Christine who fixed her hair, and Carol who was her room mate and her dining room partners, Jo Ann and Marie.They all made life easier for her at both homes.
