Louis C. "Curley" Duhon, 82, of Groves, Texas passed away at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland on August 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 1, 1930 to Rosa Fabre Duhon and Naston Duhon in Abbeville, Louisiana. After serving four years in the Air Force, he moved to Port Arthur to work at Gulf Oil. He retired from Gulf Oil as a Lab Technician after 35 years of service. Curley was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves, where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Knights of Columbus Council #3491, where he served as a former financial secretary. He was also a member of Santa Maria Assembly for the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley Duhon. Curley is survived by his daughters, Bridget Grubb and husband Jeff of Lufkin, Texas, Barbara Johnson and husband Mule of Groves, Texas, Beth Deragon and husband Mike of Katy, Texas, his sons, Bryan Duhon of Friendswood, Texas, Brent Duhon and wife Natalie of The Colony, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather Durbin (Matt), Mallory Muhlbach (Beau), Matthew Sebastian (Kim), Andrew Deragon, Jacqueline Grubb, Joshua Deragon, Zachory Duhon, Emily Deragon, Brittney Duhon, Bryce Duhon and Collin Mojica, great grandchildren, Sophia, Grace, Sebastian and Karsen Pellarin.
