Lee Daniel Tate

Lee Tate, 79, of Port Arthur passed away on October 25, 2012. He was born in Mamou, Louisiana to Annie Fontenot Tate and Aluide Tate. Lee resided in the Port Arthur/Nederland area for most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ted Tate. Lee is survived by his loving wife , Juanita Pitre Tate of Port Arthur; son Glenn Tate and wife Kathleen of Nederland; daughter, Susan Hamel of Port Arthur; and a sister, Margie Smith of Vidor. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur on Saturday October 27, 2012 at 1PM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
