Robert E. Krause

Robert E. Krause, 86, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at Magnolia Manor in Groves on Thursday, November 1, 2012. He was born on March 7, 1926 to Lydia Drews Krause and Robert Ernst Krause in Houston, Texas. Robert was raised in Alvin, Texas before moving to the Port Arthur area in the late 50's. He retired from KPAC radio station as a disc jockey after 20 years of service. Robert was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur. His interest included model trains as well as real ones and listening to German music. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10 AM Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Timothy Dinger, officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 PM Monday at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lydia Kirchner Krause. Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Dorene Baker and husband, Donnie of Vidor, Texas, his grandson, Aaron Baker of Vidor, Texas.
