Iris C. Alexander

Iris C. Alexander, 75, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at Christus St. Mary Dubuis Hospital in Port Arthur on Friday, November 30, 2012. She was born on April 22, 1937 to Emma Jesse Boden Crawford and Charles Houston Crawford in Rusk, Texas. Iris has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1955 and a member of Central Baptist Church since 1955. She worked as a dispatcher for the Port Arthur Police Department for over 10 years. Iris and Dale traveled the entire U.S. and all the provinces of Canada with Hawaii as the only exception. Iris is survived by her loving husband, L. Dale Alexander, her daughters, Brenda LeBlanc and husband Bobby, Jean Hardy and husband Jerry, Vicky Meyer and husband Gery, Toni Alexander, her sons, Ken Alexander and wife Nancy, Terry Alexander and wife Angela, her fourteen grandchildren, Brenda Pruiett, Jacob Johnson and wife Jessica, Caleb Johnson, Jason Hardy and wife Lori, Jeffrey Hardy and wife Sarah, Tori Sams and husband Chris, Roni Meyer, Iris Alexander, Kay Alexander, Cheyenne Smith, Patrick Rideau and wife Rynette, Angelica Padilla, Terry Alexander Jr., Jeremy Alexander, her six great grandchildren, Jake Pruiett, Jasslynn Pruiett, Nicholas Powell, Talan Johnson, Cash Johnson and Aden Sams. Memorial service will be held at Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 4 PM with Rev. Phil Sigman, officiating. The Family will receive friends from 3 PM until service time at the church. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
