Walter L. "Lil Blue" Hulin 79 of Port Acres died on Friday, December 14, 2012 as the result of a tragic accident. "Lil Blue" was born in Mermentau,LA. on September 1, 1933 to Volles and Theresa Conner Hulin. Walter retired from Gulf Oil Corporation after 37 years of service as an operator/ instrument tech. He was a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church where he was very active and served as an usher. Walter was a 60 year resident of this area. He graduated as valedictorian of Easterwood High School. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; Enola Trahan Hulin. He is survived by his sons, Darrell and his wife, Sandra Hulin of Fannett, Carl Hulin of Port Acres, daughter, Debbie and husband Brian Jennings of Lumberton, sisters, Rida Schexnider of Crowley, LA. and Linda Landry of Mermentau, LA., seven grandchildren, Kacie Catlett of Lumberton, Ashlee Jennings of Ocean Springs, MS., Chris Hulin of Port Acres, Cari Henslee of Port Neches, Amanda Bracewell of Humble, Ryan Hulin of Port Acres and Cory Hulin of Port Neches, ten great grandchildren and one future great grand child. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Ave., Port Arthur, Texas. Internment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
