Ruth Fruge' Depew

Ruth Fruge' Depew, 93, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas on Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born on November 11, 1919 to Sina Foster Fruge' and Kenny Fruge' in Oakdale, Louisiana. Ruth has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1980 and was a member of the Word of Life Church in Groves. She was the co-owner of The Carpet Place in Port Arthur along with her daughter, Linda, for 17 years. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Pastor David Logan, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lamkin "Buddy" Depew. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Linda Depew Young and husband Jake of Orange, Texas, her sons, Harvey Depew of Groves, Texas, Robert Depew of Groves, Texas and Jerry Depew of Orange, Texas along with seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
