Roberto Acal, 74, of Nederland, Texas passed away at his residence on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was born on September 8, 1938 to Cirilo Solis and Manuela Acal in Nueva Rosita Coahuila, Mexico. Roberto owned a lawn service for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Cirilo Solis. He is survived by his sons, Roberto Solis, Jr. and wife Michelle of Nederland, Rafael Solis, Sr. and wife Rossy of Austin; daughters, Lilia Solis of Port Arthur, Adela Hochstrasse and husband Williard of Port Neches, Adriana Gillispie and husband Aaron of Magnolia, Gloria Magaa and husband Francisco of Nederland, Texas; daughter-in-law Felice Solis of Katy; brother, Oscar Solis Acal of Mexico; sisters, Irma Solis of Mexico, Norma Alicia Solis of Mexico and eleven grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home from 5-8 PM. with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
