Henry L. Sartin

May 21, 1921 - August 9, 2013

Henry L. Sartin born May 21st 1921 given back to God August 9th, 2013. Loving husband and Father of six, he is survived by all of his children, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Born in Macomb MS, he moved to Port Arthur in 1929 and was a resident since that time. A highly decorated veteran of WW2, he served his country in N Africa and Europe for four years before returning back to Port Arthur to raise a family with his beloved wife Goldie. Henry was employed by Gulf Oil Co for 42 years where he retired almost 30 years ago. Active in his church, Henry was a founding member of St. Catherines Catholic Church where he served in the KC and as a Eucharistic minister. A loving father and grandfather, his ideals and character will live thru them for generations to come. A viewing will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday August 10th from 5-8 pm and funeral service at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Monday at 10 am.
