Dolores "Bedee" Trahan (Diaz), 63 of Groves, passed away on August 20, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Dolores was born on August 15, 1950 in Brackettville, TX to Gilbert and Isabel Sandoval Diaz. She was a 23 year resident of Port Arthur prior to moving to Groves 13 years ago. The last five years, she was a resident at Senior Rehab in Port Arthur. Dolores attended Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1969. She was a wonderful wife and momma. She loved her Dallas Cowboys. She loved her "adopted" kids and never met a stranger. She was a member of Abundant Life Sanctuary. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Theresa D. Grant and sister in law, Dana Diaz. She is survived by Ronald Trahan of Bridge City, father of Suzette Harper, survived by her daughter, Suzette R. Harper of Bridge City, brothers, Gilbert Diaz of Houston, Robert John Diaz (Lisa) of Groves, Ernesto Diaz of Port Arthur, George Diaz (Lenora) of Port Arthur and brother in law, Charles Grant of Bridge City, (the late Theresa D Grant), sisters, Yolanda Schrader (Charles) of Groves and Rosie Cardenas of Groves. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. The family would like to extend thank you's to all the Doctors and Nurses that cared for Dolores for the past 37 years and especially, the last 51 days she was with us. Her daughter wanted to extend a special thank you to Dr. Roussel Clement for taking over and caring, Dr. Joy Obokhare for a wonderful job and such kind spirit and to Brad and Kirk (ICU Nurses) thank you, thank you. Finally, a thank you to Mike, for being there, night and day with the family and for momma. Working hard to get the house ready for her..it means a lot. She loved her home. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10am to 1pm. Funeral service will start at 1pm at Abundant Life Sanctuary, 2301 W Parkway Street, Groves, Texas with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with Pastor David Logan and Pastor Ray Walston of Word of Life and Pastor Jason Myer and Reverend David Myer of Abundant Life Sanctuary officiating.
