Joseph Thomas Guidry

Joseph Thomas "Meat" Guidry, 85, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on October 27, 1927 to Anna Broussard Guidry and Simon Guidry, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. Joseph was a lifelong resident of the area. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Joseph retired from Gulf Oil as a pipefitter after 33 years of service. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Homes in Groves. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Mary Sue Guidry. Joseph is survived by his three sons, Dr. Thomas Dwayne Guidry of Austin, Texas, Terry Joseph Guidry and wife Teresa of Crosby, Texas, Lance Darin Guidry and wife Kim of Bridge City, Texas, five grandchildren, Hayden Guidry, Lauren Guidry, Terry Guidry, Jr., Brice Guidry and Kayla Guidry along with five great grandchildren.
