Brunete Letbetter Miller, 93, of Port Arthur passed away at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She was born on April 13, 1920 to Alma Hinrichs Letbetter and Johnny Newton Letbetter in League City, Texas. She moved to the Port Arthur area as child. Brunete was valedictorian of the Class of 1938 from Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from Lamar. She loved to play dominos and was very active in several groups. Brunete was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, active in Sunday School and served as secretary for Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and went all over the world. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from Noon until service time at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Miller, her parents and her brother, Johnny Letbetter. Brunete is survived by her son, Gary L. Miller and wife Sandy of Port Neches, Texas, her daughter, Venoy Wilson of Port Neches, Texas, three grandchildren, Steven James Wilson, Gary Miller II and wife Kim, Dr. Brandon B. A. Miller, five great grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Miller, Rebekah Miller, Moriah Miller, Steven Sailor Wilson and Brandy Nicole Wilson. She is also survived by her sisters, Bernice Primeaux of Westlake, Louisiana and Dorothy Broussard and husband Gene of Mauriceville, Texas, her brother, Dudley Letbetter of Beaumont, Texas, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. The Family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Annie Coleman, Erma Washington, Joyce, Angela, Princelete, Tamara and Mendy along with Odyssey Hospice and the Nurses and Aides at Cypress Glen East.
