Anne B. Woo

June 9, 1927 - November 1, 2013

Anne Bruner Woo - beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother joined her Savior on November 1, 2013 in Port Arthur, Texas. Born June 9, 1927 in Monroe, Virginia of Willis and Claudine Bruner, Anne graduated from Mars Hill College and Westhampton University. She met and ultimately married the love of her life, Thomas M. Woo in 1948. In 1951 they were assigned as Southern Baptist home missionaries to St. Charles, Virginia and served there until 1963 when they relocated to Port Arthur, Texas. They had five children, Carolyn, David, Gregory, Rodney, and Timothy. Anne and Tommy worked side-by-side doing the Lord's work. She was involved in numerous mission and church activities including literacy classes, the naturalization process, Women's Missionary Union, Vacation Bible Schools, mission trips, and visitation. Her greatest joy in life was serving her Lord. Anne will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her selfless and loving nature, sweet spirit, and joy of giving. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy, son Gregory and grandson, Jacob. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and husband André Rosales; sons, David and wife Suzi, Rodney and wife Sasha, and Timothy; grandchildren, Zachary, Carrie, Austin, Hudson, Samuel, Thomas, Elisha, Daniel, Chelsea Logoteta, Hilary Bowerman, Shelby Poole, Britney Roy, and Zachary Roy. She is also survived by her sister Grace Lord of New York, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Cypress Glen East for all the loving care they provided Anne. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3 at Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur followed by interment at Memory Gardens, Nederland, Texas.
