Bert Gary age 58 of Newton County passed away on Thursday, December 12,2013 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. Bert was born in Port Arthur on April 1,1955 to Beatrice Gallier and Calvin Gary. He was a 2 year resident of Newton County and lived previously in Port Arthur for 56 years. Bert was of the Catholic faith and had been employed at Fina for15 years. Bert was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Theresa Gallier Gary. He is survived by his father, Calvin Gary of Port Arthur, daughter, Kaitlen Gary of Port Neches, brothers, Carl and wife Glenda Gary of Port Arthur, Jeff and wife Jeanie Gary of Groves, and his sister Anita Lawless of Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 19,2013 at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church 6412 Garnet Ave,. Port Arthur. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
