Thomas M. Smith

Thomas Smith, 81, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He was a native of Port Arthur and lived the last eleven years in Lumberton. He worked at Texaco Inc. as an instrument technician for 35 years. Thomas is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Smith of Lumberton; sons, Steven Milton Smith of Jupiter, FL, Brian Thomas Smith of Vinton, LA; brothers, Donald Smith of Dallas, TX, William Smith of College Station, TX and 7 grandchildren. Thomas is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Portie. A graveside service with Rev. Billy Vance officiating will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
