Ricardo Rios

Ricardo Rios, 81, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on September 9, 1932 to Bertha Fabela Rios and Sebastian Rios in Port Arthur, Texas. Ricardo was raised in Mexico and came back to Port Arthur in 1959. He was a carpenter affiliated with the Carpenter's Local #510 with over 30 years of service. Ricardo was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 5:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. T. R. Blanco serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Rafael and Jose Rios, his sister, Antonio Villareal, his wife, Lydia Vega Rios and his daughter, Patricia Rios. Ricardo is survived by his daughter, Lydia Brady and husband Mike of Nederland, Texas, his three sons, Tony Rios and wife Sharon, Richard Rios, Jr. both of Richmond, Texas and Manuel Rios and wife Natalia of Port Arthur, Texas, ten grandchildren, Christopher Rios (Lindsey), Sebastian Rios, Kyle Rios (Sharon), Joseph Rios (Shawna), Michael Brady, David Brady, Kristin Denby (Mark), Ryan Brady, Raymond Rios and Jenna Rios, 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carmela Gonzales of Mexico, Gloria Castaneda and husband Francisco of Beaumont, Texas, Maria de Jesus Solis of Port Arthur, Texas and his brother, Sebastian Rios and wife Susie of Port Arthur, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
