Bill Blanco, 83, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was born on January 12, 1931 to Henry and Clara Lavender Blanco in Port Arthur, TX. Bill was a pipefitter at Texaco for 42 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp in Korea. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria Jean Blanco; brother, Colin Blanco and two sisters, Dolores Dikes and Claranell Blanco. He is survived by his son, Randy Blanco and wife, Sara of Nederland; daughters, Jeanne Licatino and husband, Roy of Port Neches, Jane Herring and husband, Steve of Port Arthur; brothers, H.C. Blanco of Fort Worth, James Blanco of Groves; sisters, Golden Evelyn Richard of Port Arthur, Barbara Christopher of Onalaska and Joan Colichia of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Mark Kimball, Aaron Kimball, Justin Blanco and Jeanne Licatino, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home from 5-8 PM. Funeral service will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Erwin officiating with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
