Jerry W. LaCroix age 70 of Toledo Bend passed away on May 7, 2014 at Memorial Health System in Lufkin Texas. Jerry was born in Alexandria, LA. on October 10, 1943 to Julian "Buddy" and Daisy Hailey LaCroix. Jerry was a graduated of Port Neches-Groves High School and attended Lamar in Beaumont, Texas. Jerry's musical career began at an early age. He was best known for his soulful voice playing and singing at local venues, later he toured with the Boogie Kings, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Rare Earth and Edgar Winters' White Trash. He was a local legend in the era of Rock and Roll for over 40 years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his 3 sons, Scott LaCroix of Yucaipa, California, Sean LaCroix of Birchwood, Tennessee and Chad LaCroix of Nederland, Texas, one brother, Julian LaCroix of Hemphill. Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 West Parkway, Groves, Texas. A time of remembrance will begin at 6:00 P.M. Cremation is entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. On Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. a Tribute and Benefit will be held on Crockett Street Venue to honor Jerry W.
